SEMAX: RUSSIAN NEURO-BOOSTER WITH AMAZING EFFECTS
PEPTIDE PREPARATION IN DROP FORM
Semax remains a mystery – even though it has existed for decades. It was developed in Russia by the Institute of Molecular Genetics. In 1996, it was approved as a drug (SEMAX®) by the Ministry of Public Health and Pharmaceuticals of the Russian Federation [1]. But what exactly is Semax?
Semax is a synthetic peptide. As an analogue of a fragment of adrenocorticotropic hormone (ACTH), it can cross the blood-brain barrier and interact with neurotransmitters such as dopamine and serotonin. The exact mechanism of action of Semax remains unknown [2], but the effects it triggers in the brain are well-known: it increases attention, improves short-term memory, and reduces anxiety [3]. This positive effect is particularly evident in cases of fatigue: in a study investigating the cognitive performance of tired shift workers, Semax enabled the subjects to perform significantly better than the control group. [4].
NO CNS STIMULANT
Particularly noteworthy is that, despite its performance-enhancing properties, Semax has no stimulating effect on the central nervous system or the cardiovascular system – analogous to the ACTH fragment from which it is derived [5]. In this respect, it differs significantly from psychoactive substances such as caffeine. Side effects known from caffeine, such as disturbed sleep, increased resting heart rate, dizziness, etc., are therefore not a concern with Semax. Furthermore, no tolerance effect occurs.
SEMAX Application Areas
Semax is used for, among other things, the following purposes:
- to improve general cognitive performance
- to improve the adaptability of the psyche to extreme situations
- to prevent mental fatigue during monotonous work
- to resolve diffuse anxieties
- for the treatment of neurological disorders following cerebral vascular injuries and strokes
Advantages of SEMAX as a drop solution
Semax is primarily sold in eastern Germany as a freeze-dried powder and as a nasal spray. Our Semax, however, is a solution for drops, supplied in a bottle with a dropper. In this form, the product can be dosed much more precisely than in spray form.
Application and dosage
Clinical trials conducted with Semax used doses of 600–900 micrograms per day. Although Semax is an officially recognized medication in Eastern Europe, it is not approved as either a medicine or a supplement in the EU. Therefore, we sell it only as an experimental substance without dosage recommendations.
NOTE: This product is not intended for human use. It is sold exclusively as a laboratory chemical for research purposes.
